Configure BIND as a Private Network DNS Server on Ubuntu 14.04

You must have the good observation in DNS otherwise you won't understand what you doing. Here I configured standalone DNS Server without a backup host.

Here is my configure:
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install bind9 bind9utils bind9-doc
sudo nano /etc/default/bind9

OPTIONS="-4 -u bind"

sudo nano /etc/bind/named.conf.options

acl "trusted" {
10.128.10.11; # ns1 - can be set to localhost
10.128.100.101; # host1
};

options {
directory "/var/cache/bind";

recursion yes; # enables resursive queries
allow-recursion { trusted; }; # allows recursive queries from "trusted" clients

sudo nano /etc/bind/named.conf.local

sudo mkdir /etc/bind/zones
cd /etc/bind/zones
sudo cp ../db.local ./db.dns.freebienow.xyz
sudo nano /etc/bind/zones/db.dns.freebienow.xyz

sudo service bind9 restart
sudo nano /etc/resolvconf/resolv.conf.d/head

search dns.freebienow.xyz # your private domain
nameserver 10.128.10.11 # ns1 private IP address
