US Gives Intel Billions and May Sanction Huawei’s Network
The United States will award Intel with $8.5 billion in grants and up to $11 billion in loans to help fund an expansion of its semiconductor factories. Bloomberg Intelligence senior technology analyst Mandeep Singh breaks down the historic funding package and explains why the White House may look to blacklist a number of Chinese semiconductor firms linked to tech manufacturer Huawei.
