This video is announcing the members only video series about life in Berlin we made in 2020 called Year in Berlin. It's a year-long video series that ran from January until December 2020, and each episode covered one month and one topic about life in Europe. It was originally available to paid channel members only, and now we're making the episodes public to everyone. Enjoy!

Before moving to Germany, we'd met Europeans from all over and heard about their lives. Although it's impossible to call all Europeans the same, nonetheless, the typical picture most of them painted of a life in Europe sounded quite different than what we were used to in Korea or in America.
It's lots of little anecdotes about day to day things like biking to work, the price of wine, and the taste of tomatoes, all the way up to big things like summer vacations, tuition prices, and healthcare systems. They add up.
But is different better?
Maybe. It seems like life in Europe could be, but it's hard to tell from the outside. It's not one particular story or an experience that led us to Berlin, yet here we are, suddenly on the inside. It's a chance to answer that very question, and find out if living here is all it's cracked up to be.
And while Germany isn't like the rest of Europe (and while Berlin isn't like the rest of Germany, for that matter), surely we don't need to try living in all 27 EU member countries to find out if we've signed up for a better life or for a raging case of Paris Syndrome.
