Take Climate Action: From Climate Stories to Global Change
On the 31 October 2021, COP26, the United Nations climate change conference, begins in Glasgow. The summit aims to accelerate action towards the goals of the Paris Agreement and the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change. World leaders, alongside thousands of negotiators, government representatives, businesses and citizens will come together for twelve days of talks. The summit presents an opportunity for CITiZAN, SCAPE and CHERISH to engage key stakeholder groups to recognise the relevance of heritage and other associated disciplinary fields (such as geology, archaeology, history and maritime studies) in understanding and tackling climate change, to build resilience for the future.
As part of this effort, together we have produced 14 #climateheritage stories from across England, Scotlands, Wales and Ireland to share how our expertise can help shape the future.
