190 Power Steering Pump Disassembly
We're disassembling the power steering pump and replacing the rubber seals and oil seal. The camera has been acting up lately; when I try to remove the rotor with the vanes, the camera shuts off. I'll add that the rotor sticks to the housing due to oil and rises with it, and the vanes fall out. To prevent this, apply pressure to the rotor through the shaft hole (with a screwdriver) and press it down onto the table. Replacing the oil seal wasn't included in the video, but it's not that difficult. After removing the shaft, simply pry the old oil seal out of the housing with a screwdriver and carefully tap the new one in through a spacer.
