How to properly position your hands on the piano?
This video contains a large collection of wonderful playful exercises for little ones that will help them strengthen their fingers and develop hand position.
00:43 "Butterfly and Kitty" - We do this exercise to help the child understand the difference between clenched hands and completely free and relaxed hands.
03:42 "Ball." The next exercise is similar. Choose what your child likes best. Take a ball or any other object in your hand and squeeze it very tightly. Then relax your hand so that the object falls out of your palm.
05:32 "Little Soldiers." Place your hand and clench your fist tightly. Then extend your claws, like a cat stretching, and then place your free, relaxed hand on your horseshoes. You can tap with each finger. This strengthens the fingers.
7:18 "Horseshoe." Fingertip touch. Horseshoe. To help the child understand which part of the finger we use to play horseshoes. I show a couple of these exercises in the third lesson.
