This short introduction video is focused on using the multi-track audio editing software Audacity, with a focus on audio editing and podcasting for educators.
This short tutorial covers the following basic skills:
-Importing and working with existing audio tracks and sound files
-Recording new tracks within Audacity
-Basic audio clip editing (cut, paste, silence, clipping audio, moving tracks on timeline)
-Applying simply transitions (audio fade in, fade out)
-Making basic level adjusting (volume controls, recording levels, using envelop tool)
-Exporting projects for external use (mp3 audio files)
Audacity is a free, open-source audio program that is available online.
