In our video meeting today, we have a special woman, she is not a grandmother but she could have easily been, indeed, even a great-grandmother, given her venerable age, she is a nun and obviously has not had children. Our beautiful hypothetical grandmother, her name is Luigina, she is 78 years old and has chosen this path of life since she was a child. Sister Luigina has lived for many years in a convent at the foot of the hill, together with 3 other nuns, where she is the oldest, but totally lucid and able both physically and mentally. It is the end of June, it is hot, and Sister Luigina wanted to show us a typical afternoon of hers during this period. The nuns are very normal people like all the others, they shower naked like everyone else, they uncover themselves a little when it is too hot, of course in private life, in public it is a whole different story. Well, Sister Luigina suffers a lot from the heat, she spends her afternoons in the courtyard of the convent praying alone and she explained and showed us that from time to time she uncovers her legs to alleviate the suffering of the torrid heat, always in private, as an ordinary person would do, and she reiterated that there is no statute or regulation that prohibits this. The other nuns also behave more or less like her, always within the walls of the convent.
