Kyzyl Kule - The Red Tower in Alanya is one of the main attractions of the city! 🏺The tower is located in the port part of the city, a tower was erected to protect the harbor. In 1226, after the Seljuks conquered Alania, their sultan, Aladdin Keykubat, gave the order to build a watchtower Kyzyl Kule.
We will show another attraction, the Alanya Shipyard - Tersane - a medieval dry dock in the city of Alanya (Turkey), built by the Seljuks in 1228. The shipyard building, from the sea side, 56.5 m long and 44 m wide, consists of five chambers with equilateral pointed arches. Each chamber is 7.70 m long and 42.30 m deep. The site chosen for the construction is the most sunlit. The inscription on the front door of the shipyard is decorated with the coat of arms of the Sultan Ala-ad-din Key-Qubad.
