Here’s a quick tutorial of how to use variables in Figma. Updated for the new Figma UI (UI3). Together, we’ll make a simple habit tracking prototype that has toggle-able filters and multiple chained actions. We start by completing a component design using text properties and variant properties, and then create local variables to manage state. The magic happens when we link a component variant to a variable.
