Was Judge Dredd right?
Judge Dredd! Whether we're talking about the comics, Danny Cannon's 1995 film, or the 2012 film starring Karl Urban and Olivia Thirlby, there's a lot to discuss. While the '95 film with Sylvester Stallone aimed to be a lesser version of Demolition Man, Judge Dredd originally had a much more activist message. This latest adaptation also marks the directorial debut of the very talented Alex Garland, who reminds us that Dredd is, after all, quite a brute.
