Why Create a Pillar Content Plan?
🛑DON’T JUST FOLLOW TRENDS
💡 If you are just following trends with social media - you are going to burn out. The best type of content you can focus on is pillar content. Build a sustainable strategy.
🎯 Make sure you are balancing your content with timely content but also evergreen and timeless content. Content that is relevant today but also 3, 6, 12 months from now.
🌟 This is content you can repost and repurpose across multiple social media platforms. This is the type of content you can turn into a video today for YouTube, a Reel tomorrow, a TikTok next week, a podcast down the road and so on.
💻 When it comes to pillar content think in terms of “pillars” of who you are and what you are all about. For example, if you are a real estate 🏡 agent, your pillars may be “buying real estate, selling real estate, do’s and don’ts, common mistakes, community info, home and design tips, and more.”
📈 Depending on your passion, your expertise and your local market - those pillars may change. Then for each pillar, brainstorm micro topics you could cover. This will give you dozens of ideas and opportunities.
🗓️ Trends come and go - and there is nothing wrong with posting something trendy now and then. But, for long-term sustainability, focus on your pillar content plan.
