ICMR Study Quells Correlation Between Covid Vaccines and Sudden Deaths | SoSouth
An Indian Council of Medical Research study has indicated that almost 60% of the people surveyed who had received at least one jab of a Covid vaccine did not succumb to co-morbidities. Experts say this would help quell conspiracy theories that the vaccines were somehow responsible for a series of post Covid deaths. The study found a higher chance of death within one year after discharge in males, those more than 40 years of age, who were hospitalised and suffered from comorbidities. Amongst them, 60% of those, who had comorbidities and were hospitalised but, received a single -dose of vaccination did not succumb. Yet, 40% of the rest who did not receive any vaccination, succumbed to medical conditions post discharge.
The study doesn’t make any sweeping claim that the vaccines was the sole reason many with co-morbidities were saved, but the inference is sure to help dispel public fears about the vaccines.
