Power core fundamentals.
[ One should acquaint themselves with the 'foundations' of a ship, before even setting about acquiring one. One such aspect is that of your vessels power core, if it employs one. Some ships are built around a single, stolid core, others have tandem systems, and larger vessels may hold multiple power cores, keeping some inactive in case of emergency. In any event, a failsafe protocol is the minimum requirement for any reasonable captain. ]
