Puck: the visual editor for React | ASYNC
Chris Villa, the Founder of Measured, gives us a brief run-through of the reasons behind building Puck. He demonstrates the user interface and walks us through the process of setting it up from scratch.
Puck was an open source website builder for React that was developed at Measured. It aimed to address one of Measured's clients' primary pain points and reintroduce the WYSIWYG experience into their content workflows, all while preserving their brand. Puck was designed to be self-hosted, allowing users to bring their own components. It provided an easy drag-and-drop interface to construct websites using custom components. Users had the flexibility to integrate Puck with an existing headless CMS or content repository, or use it as a standalone micro-CMS.
