The Accident That Shocked the World - Abandoned Water Park Disaster
The Formosa Fun Coast water park in New Taipei City, Taiwan, was permanently closed following a catastrophic incident on June 27, 2015. During the "Color Play Asia" event, colored cornstarch powder ignited upon contact with hot stage lighting, resulting in a fire that lasted approximately 40 seconds. This tragedy led to 15 deaths and injuries to 508 individuals, with 199 in critical condition. The park was immediately shut down for investigation and has remained closed since, with its structures left abandoned as a haunting reminder of the disaster.
