How to use the TOR Browser on Zorin OS 15 Core.
The software manager does have a Tor launcher however I couldn't get it to work. You can find other methods on the web using PPA's etc but this seemed like the easiest and most reliable way to me.
TOR Browser is not actually installed into your system using this method, rather it is running from its own Self Contained Folder with all the required files to do that similar to a flatpack or appimage, thus why I show how to get it into your Menu system. This method does not add anything to your system updater or PPA's etc.
If you start TOR and quickly go to the menu bar, Help, About TOR Browser, you can see it checking for updates and then reporting TOR is up to date or see it downloading updates. I also have Waterfox Browser, another Firefox Derivative, running in the same manner and the same thing happens regarding updates, as does Firefox on my Windows 10 system although it is actually Installed on Windows.
After following my procedure you could delete the extracted TOR folder and remove the shortcuts from your menu and no trace is left behind on your system similar to deleting any other file or folder. If this is not correct someone may wish to clarify and I shall remove the video or modify as necessary.
