The VAZ-2102 "Zhiguli" is a Soviet rear-wheel drive station wagon. It was mass-produced at the Volga Automobile Plant from September 21, 1971, to 1986.
The new model was largely unified with the base VAZ-2101 sedan. The dashboard and driver's compartment are identical to those of the VAZ-2101. The solid rear seat folds down, creating a horizontal cargo area. To accommodate the heavier VAZ-2102 cargo-passenger vehicle, the suspension springs and shock absorbers were additionally reinforced, maintaining the payload capacity of 250 kg with two passengers (or 60 kg with five passengers). The car was equipped with a 64 hp gasoline engine.
