The ideal exercise for football, rugby and hockey players wanting to improve their match-day speed. All ages and standards.

This drill is practising arm mechanics. Position your legs as if you were about to start running and lean forward into the ‘sprint’. Launch the arms into action, wide and high, in an over-exaggerated movement. The faster and more powerful your arm action is, the faster you will run. As you become comfortable with the rhythm and cadence of the arm, begin to stand up into an upright position and go into a drumming action, Mimicking the posture in sprinting.

The speed should continue at the same pace as you change posture.
