MENANDS -- The smallest puppy rescued from some Albany railroad tracks has died from her injuries. MHHS Medical Director Dr. Sarah Madaio says the puppy seemed to be doing better but took a turn for the worse and her heart stopped.Madaio said she died due to her frail condition and the trauma caused by her injuries."Even a healthy puppy at such a young age would not be able to deal with the trauma of being outside away from her mother. These puppies were injured and left out in the elements on railroad tracks. This type of situation is absolutely appalling and it's heartbreaking for our staff. This is not the outcome we were striving and hoping for and we really need the public's help in finding the person or persons responsible."See below for full details.Menands -- The Mohawk Hudson Humane Society is asking for anyone who may have seen three pitbull puppies being abused on railroad tracks in the City of Albany to come forward.
