Second Lady Usha Vance Visits NASAs Johnson Space Center
On Monday, Aug. 4, Second Lady Usha Vance hosted her summer reading challenge event at NASA’s Johnson Space Center. She was joined by NASA astronaut Suni Williams to read a space-themed book to children in grades K-8 as part of her initiative to promote literacy.
Through her reading challenge, the Second Lady is encouraging youth to seek adventure, imagination, and discovery between the pages of a book. Students interested in participating in the challenge must read 12 books by Friday, Sept. 5.
