Today’s release puts the spotlight on Mei Washio, who steps into the role of a diligent real estate agent juggling her daily rounds in the bustling city. In this story, Mei is entrusted with looking after a number of rental properties, but there’s one apartment that has been causing her some concern. She’s asked to personally visit this unit to inspect its condition and, more importantly, to sort out the issue of unpaid rent that’s been piling up.
When she arrives, Mei discovers that the tenant, who once was punctual and polite, is now struggling to make ends meet. What was supposed to be a routine visit turns into a heart-to-heart conversation. Instead of jumping straight to demands, Mei tries to understand his situation, offering a listening ear and practical advice to help him get back on his feet. She knows she can’t magically erase his debts, but her willingness to handle things gently sets her apart from your average real estate agent.
