Flipped learning is a pedagogical approach in which direct instruction moves from the group learning space to the individual learning space - that is to say, the traditional lecture is sent home and the homework is done in the classroom. With free tools like Google Classroom, Screencastify, and many others - flipping your classroom is pretty easy.
See how to use Screencastify to record yourself or you teaching a mini lesson for students to take to an individual area (most likely home) and doing the learning away from the classroom. I also show you how to use PowerPoint to accomplish this same task.
Flipping your classroom or lesson is easier than it sounds and if you just bite the bullet and give it a try you will love the results and your students will benefit with more in-depth learning and a greater excitement for the lesson.
