[2.11] Dizzy - Anpy
Hey! So here's a pretty cool effect level by a creator with no creator points (yet). A lot of the effects are really original and stand apart from other levels, which is mainly why I decided to upload it. As is the case with Seance, I'm not sure why it hasn't been rated yet. The level has been out for around 10 months as of me uploading this. Definitely give this level a play as it deserves a lot more! :) Now let's get into the review!
Gameplay: The gameplay is very smooth and fun especially for its difficulty and the arrows that you see help with sight-reading since the effects are relatively trippy. Although I would make some fixes. At 0:06, you can see a x4 speed portal and a wave portal, but it gets replaced with a x2 speed and ball portal extremely quick. This doesn't allow for much reaction time, resulting in a bit of an annoying death. Also, the jump pads at 0:39 are completely unnecessary, so I would just remove those altogether. Starting at 0:45, you see slopes working their way into the gameplay, but in my opinion, they seem unnecessary. Sure it can allow for smooth transitioning and can be used for syncing. Here though they become a bit tedious. Other than these minor points, the gameplay is pretty solid. :)
Decoration: The effects I can tell are definitely the focal point of the level, they're all pretty original and are very well executed. I especially love the rotating glow-stick effect at 0:18 :) However, I do think some more air decorations could help the level immensely. Whether it be gears, pulsing objects, swirls, etc. Just something in the air other than arrows would definitely add some more charm to the level in my opinion. I would also suggest variation with block design as well. In general though, very cool effects, color mixing, and pretty well-fitting blocks :)
Hopefully, this level will get featured soon, as it does deserve way more attention than it has. I'd definitely send this for a 5-star feature if I were a mod :) You should definitely check this out even if its a bit dated now.
