This number was named after Leonard Euler since he was the one who discovered it in the 18th century while solving a problem proposed by another physician and mathematician Jacob Bernoulli.

e can be calculated with the help of this formula (1+1/n) we can find accurate values of e as we put large and large values of n in this formula.
