Today we'll be making lavash at home!!! This lavash is perfect for stuffed rolls or shawarma!! It's so easy to make! Save the recipe so you don't lose it!
📌Ingredients:
✅Flour - 350 g
✅Water - 200 ml (boiling water)
✅Vegetable oil - 2 tbsp
✅Salt - a pinch
📌Directions:
1. Sift the flour into a bowl. Make a well in the center and pour in 200 ml of hot water (boiling water). Add the vegetable oil and a pinch of salt.
2. Using a spatula (since the dough is still hot), begin kneading the dough. Once the dough has cooled, you can use your hands. Knead the dough for about 5 minutes until smooth. Cover with a towel and let rest for 30 minutes.
3. Cut the dough into the desired number of pieces (the size depends on your frying pan. If you want to make more, that's fine, just find a large frying pan.) I made 11 lavash. Roll each piece into a ball and let it rest for a bit.
4. Roll the balls as thin as possible, matching the diameter of the frying pan. If you want even lavash, you can cut them out using a plate.
❗Lavash fry very quickly, so I recommend rolling everything out first, then frying.
5. Carefully place the flatbread on a dry frying pan and fry over medium heat for 30-40 seconds on each side.
6. Brush the finished lavash with water to prevent it from breaking when wrapping. Cover the finished lavash with a towel and let it cool.
That's it! Your delicious homemade lavash is READY!! By the way, if you didn't use all the lavash at once, you can put them in a bag and throw them in the freezer; they keep very well there!
