And that's Yssring. She is so passionate about science that even her Character Theme Song tells about how science works. However, judging from Yssring's past, she once hated science because her parents were never by her side because of science even when she won the competition. Until she was entrusted to an orphanage because her parents were so busy with scientific research, it made her sad.
However, who would have thought that by placing Yssring in an orphanage, she would meet someone who would become a friend in the future, a person who would be the reason for Yssring to become a great scientist. Nina, a girl who is said to have a Congenitally Painless disorder that makes her unable to feel pain at all. Nina often hurts herself in hopes of being able to feel the pain even just once. Long story short,they both become friends because they have the same fate where they both feel forgotten and lonely. And starting from there, Yssring promised that if they met again, she would have become a great scientist who would cure Nina from her suffering.
But Mihoyo said otherwise. When the two meet again, Nina has become a herrscher of metal which makes Shicksal also enter the battlefield. Although Nina's case is different from the other Herrscher cases because it turns out that even though her condition is quite severe she can still control herself . Yssring also admits that Nina's case is the same as that of Kyuushou where if her Stigmata ability can be stabilized then she can be saved. However, Shicksal doesn't give them enough time to execute a strategy which causes Yssring and Bronya's forces to retreat, leaving Nina to fight Schicksal.
After she finds out that she is starting to lose control and will become a threat to humanity. She didn't want to become a burden to her best friend, Yssring. Nina then stabbed herself in the heart. That was the first time she had experienced such excruciating pain. She also realized that something she wanted all along made her look like a monster. And, she died with a smile. Damn, that's pretty sad for me. Even until the end, she tried not to be a burden to Yssring. :'(
