Having vaginal discharge is normal but sometimes it changes in colour, consistency or smell. So what's the difference between normal vaginal discharge and abnormal? Watch this video to find out more about the most common types of abnormal vaginal discharge.

Discharge can change throughout the month, depending on what your body's doing. For example, yourvaginal discharge perfore period and after may be different. The most important thing to look out for is discharge that's unusual for you. That includes changes to the color, thickness, and smell.

Certain types of discharge can be signs that you have an infection or some other problem that you should be paying attention to. Grey or white discharge that's thin and watery, with an unpleasant fishy smell can be a sign of bacterial vaginosis. A yeast infection or thrush is shown through a white, lumpy discharge that is not smelly. Green, yellow, or frothy discharge may mean you have Trichomonas Vaginalis. All of these conditions have treatments that can be recommended by your doctor.
