Unengineered Python Mining Guide | Full Beginner Setup & Power Tips (Elite Dangerous 2025)
Today we’re taking a Python mining build and testing it completely unengineered to see how it performs for Commanders who want to start mining without grinding engineers first.
We’re running 3 size-2 and 2 size-1 mining lasers — the ship itself never overheats, though the lasers do overload their own distributor limits during long bursts.
💡 Note: Dropping the size-1 lasers can smooth out the power draw if you want a bit more sustained fire, but this guide focuses on showing the full unengineered potential of the Python.
