my quarter life crisis
It's been 10 years since I graduated high school and for whatever reason that realization has me questioning every choice I've made in my adult life. Where do I go from here? xx
NOTE: I just want to comment on something that maybe didn't come across as clearly as I would've liked it to. I DO believe that some couples can be happy together forever. But I think that that level of compatibility paired with commitment is rare and is getting more rare as time passes by. I mean, these days it seems as if many people are choosing to be with the wrong person for all the wrong reasons (fear of being alone, comfort, support, pressure from society, suppressing reality/convincing themselves they're happy, etc). I personally refuse to be a part of that! I think that you should be happy in your relationship at least 80% of the time and if you're not, than it is likely not the right fit (and more effort than what it's worth). But that's not to say that there aren't some relationships worth fighting for! I haven't given up on the idea of a life partner. I just personally think that maybe the model needs to be re-worked to catch up with the times. I don't think a relationship should be based on obligation or possessiveness. It should be more about choice and freedom, thus, appreciation and desire. Just my thoughts.
