Capture One vs Lightroom: Why the Brightness Slider Sets Them Apart
I explore the benefits of Capture One as the best raw image processor in the market. One of the reasons is the brightness slider, which is not available in Lightroom. I demonstrate the difference between exposure and brightness using a custom layout I created in Capture One and a histogram tool to help viewers follow along.
The brightness slider protects both highlights and shadows while working in the mid-tones, which is a massive benefit when processing images, especially portraits, which are my specialty. Though the same effect can be achieved with the curves tool, I trust Capture One's math and color correction algorithms more.
