Chrysanthemum multiflora
How to overwinter multiflora chrysanthemums in northern regions:
1. If the chrysanthemum is growing in open ground 👇🏼
In October, before the first frost, repot it into a pot with neutral peat (peat:vermiculite/3:1 or peat:sand/3:1).
2. After planting, prune the plant completely, leaving only a few shoots about 10 cm high.
3. Move it to a dry, cool (+3...+8°C) room. It can be dark, but it needs good ventilation to prevent fungal diseases.
4. During the winter, water occasionally, but do not allow it to dry out completely! Avoid overwatering the chrysanthemum during the winter. It does not like overwatering, either during the dormant period or during active growth. ⠀
5. In late February – early March, bring the plant into a warm, bright room to allow the chrysanthemum to begin to awaken.
Water. In March, apply the first nitrogen fertilizer (Urea or Calcium Nitrate) to help the multiflora gain mass and bloom by fall.

6. By late April, plant the chrysanthemum outdoors to allow it to gain mass and bloom.
7. In August, apply Monopotassium Phosphate to stimulate flowering.
