Home Assistant Tutorial Episode 4: Automations, Blueprints, scripts and scenes
In part 4 of this series, we'll FINALLY get into automations! Also I'll show how the new blueprints feature works to really streamline this experience and inspire with tons of automations ideas.
In this video I start out with some ideas about smart home automation. I do this to try to get the viewer thinking about some more complex scenarios that they may not be thinking about because of experience with other systems.
I get into the lingo for automations in Home Assistant...triggers, conditions, and actions. Then I get into blueprints, scenes, and scripts.
This is by far not an end all be all video. This is to get someone that's new to home assistant started and running. I'll have followups for things like more complex automations and Node Red in the future.
