Playback stuttering? - 200% performance boost in Davinci Resolve
If your playback is jerky and you want smooth playback in Davinci Resolve, then you should follow the tips in this video.
1. Ban H264 footage from your timeline (especially gameplay footage)
2. Use transcoded footage or proxies
3. Use a smaller timeline size and only adjust it at the end
4. Optimize your fusion compositions by pre-rendering them or activating render caching

The advantage of Shutter Encoder compared to Davinci is that it also converts 10-bit H265 footage for free. The free version of Davinci Resolve doesn't do this.
However, if you have the Studio version in Davinci, you can also batch transcode your recordings there.
