Nektar's Aruba controlling the 80s
The 80s synth era was when I jumped feet first into the electronic music scene, so the Softube Model 82 (SH-101 emulation) and the Model 72 (MiniMoog emulation) plugins sit very well with Aly James' VSDS-X drum plug-in (Simmons emulation) for me. The Aruba uses a VST/AU hosting software called Nektarine, which can map favourite parameters from each plugin-in for hands-on control, as well as running your DAW's transport controls and track functions. When I downloaded the latest version of VSDS-X I was surprised to see the optimum parameters were already mapped. If you watch the Aruba screen you'll see these parameters being controlled. This is a fun run of these products, with a loose and lively approach - nothing rehearsed, as you will see.
