How to Make a YouTube Short (Shotcut 2022)
Shotcut is the simple, easy way to turn your full sized HD videos into YouTube Shorts. In this very easy to follow tutorial, I walk you through the process of converting an 1920 x 1080 video into a video perfectly formatted for the long smart phone format, 1080 x 1920.
Shotcut doesn't have any prebuilt video modes for this, but I show you how to create your own custom format that you can use any time. As an option, I show you how to create a 1080 x 1080 square format, that can also by used for YouTube shorts when the long format is cutting into your field of view.
These tips will work on any video you want to edit. Using Shotcut you can create Professional level videos with just a little bit of practice.
