A large currant harvest or a disease after all?
Hello! Although currants are not fussy berries, they still need to be carefully monitored. There is a disease that cannot be cured and the bush must be destroyed. If left alone, the viral disease called blackcurrant terry can spread to all the bushes. After purchasing, monitor the bush's growth very closely to spot any signs of the disease early. This will be visible in the leaves even if the bush isn't yet blooming. I'm beginning to suspect that my bush is also affected by a disease called blackcurrant terry... although the symptoms are not yet obvious, or perhaps not, and a good harvest is simply expected. What do you think? Has anyone else encountered this currant disease? Or is everything normal?
