Successful machine learning projects often involve employing techniques and practices from software engineering. GitHub Actions provide a new way to incorporate some of these practices in a way that is tailored to data science. In this talk, Hamel will provide a brief tutorial on GitHub Actions, and will show you how you can use this new tool to automate and bring new innovations to your machine learning workflow.

Hamel Husain is a data scientist at GitHub who is focused on creating developer tools powered by machine learning as well as machine learning infrastructure. His work focuses on learning representations from code and text, as well as building infrastructure that can automate parts of the machine learning workflow. Previously, Hamel was a data scientist at Airbnb, where he worked on growth marketing, and at DataRobot, where he helped build automated machine learning tools for data scientists.
