Dreamcore is a Backrooms style liminal space horror gaming. Dreamcore perfectly encompasses the genre with its simplistic but breath taking design, putting the player into a massive, seemingly endless area that gives off an anxiety inducing feeling of complete isolation and loneliness. The feeling of being alone only adds to the fear when you finally realize.. you are not. This Dreamcore gaming clip features swol exploring the dreampools level of the Dreamcore demo. He stumbles upon a room that has a giant smiley face ball. Swol cautiously walks around it questioning its intent but the ball merely sits in the corner as it should… it’s just a ball. As swol rounds the corner he hears the sound of a ball rolling. As fear slowly sinks in, he rushes back to the ball to see if it moved… it did not. Thinking that he must’ve been hearing things, he proceeds to continue walking down dark corridor. As he’s is walking away, he gets this strange feeling that he’s being followed. Swol looks back one last time just as the massive smiley face ball peeks from around the corner and quickly dips back as if to wave a final goodbye, completely sending chills down swols spine resulting in one of the best jumpscares ever!
