📋What we talked about in the video:
Until 7-8 years ago, there was no such title in most companies. So how did DevOps become such a sought-after role in the industry? Here is a brief explanation of the DevOps role in 90 seconds in which I will go over:
1. What is the goal of DevOps
2. What does a job in the field look like
3. How much do you earn in it
4. And who is it suitable for

And if you are thinking about a career as a DevOps person, wait until the end of the video because I will explain how you can learn more about the role. In recent years, this concept has become a kind of buzzword… But the truth is that DevOps people are responsible for a significant part of the growth of every high-tech company.

The DevOps approach refers to cooperation between developers (the DEVELOPERS), and the other operational parts of the company (the OPERATIONS). Or DEV-OPS for short.

This approach helps organizations become more flexible, which affects the success of the company. And when we talk about DevOps as a role, we mean professionals whose area of responsibility is to improve the efficiency of the organization from a technological perspective. That means doing things like automating all kinds of processes, and a series of actions aimed at making all processes in the company work as smoothly as possible. And this requires quite a few skills, such as knowledge of networks and information security, working with the cloud, and writing code.

These are also some of the reasons why the salary in this role is very high. According to salary tables, DEVOPS people earn an average of 27 thousand shekels per month!

So who is it suitable for and how do you get there?
In most organizations, DEVOPS will not be a first role, but in recent years, because demand is constantly increasing, there are sometimes positions for juniors as well. And if you have a background in IT and support roles, network management, experience in the cloud, or you know how to write code - in all these cases, you are already "half a DevOps person." What you need now is to acquire a few more skills and tools and you are on the right track to entering the role.
