Swildon's Hole, Mendip Hills
Fifty years after their first visits to Swildon's Hole in Somerset, Michael Perryman follows Nick Thorne on a trip to Sump 2, via the Zig-Zags, the Short Dry Way, Barnes' Loop, and Sump 1, then returning up the Inclined Rift, and exiting via the Wet Way. Filmed mostly in the very dry period of July-October 2025, we returned to film the exit from the Water Chamber via the Wet Way in more normal stream conditions in November 2025.
