This project showcases a cinematic explosion created in Houdini using the Axiom solver and rendered with Karma. The simulation focuses on realistic fire expansion, turbulent smoke motion, and natural energy flow, all driven through a GPU based workflow for speed and detail. Axiom is used to generate fast, high resolution pyro with strong shaping and breakup, while Karma delivers physically accurate lighting, fire emission, and volumetric depth.
The explosion is built using a clean SOP based pipeline, cached as volumes for stability, and brought into Solaris for professional look development and rendering. Special attention is given to density control, temperature driven fire, and cinematic lighting to achieve a powerful and believable result. This workflow is suitable for visual effects, motion graphics, cinematic shots, and real time friendly production pipelines.
