Using a pick, shovel, and rake, I dug a hole 3 feet in diameter and 1 foot deep, surrounded it with rocks, and built a fire pit. Be sure you make your fire pit at least 10 feet from grass, leaves, or hanging limbs. It was a lot of work, but we love our fire pit at Granny Camp. You can make one, too!
