Want to add page numbers to your document in Pages?
Here’s the simplest way to do it in just a few seconds!

✅ STEP 1: Open the header and footer editor
To insert page numbers:
1️⃣ Open your document in Pages.
2️⃣ Scroll to the bottom and double-click the footer (or the header if you want the numbers at the top).

✅ STEP 2: Insert the page numbers
Let’s add the numbers:
1️⃣ Go to Insert - Page Number.
2️⃣ Choose the position: left, center, or right of the page.
3️⃣ The numbers will be applied automatically to the entire document.

✅ STEP 3: Customize the page numbers
You can customize them by:
1️⃣ Changing the font and size from the right sidebar.
2️⃣ Adjusting the alignment: left, center, or right.
3️⃣ Starting from a specific number: go to Format - Start at and enter the number.

✅ STEP 4: Hide the number on the first page
If you don’t want the number to appear on the first page:
1️⃣ Click on Document in the top-right corner.
2️⃣ Check the box “Hide number on first page.”

That’s it! Your document now has page numbers set up just the way you want.
