Drills and bits for a screwdriver: I compared cheap, budget and expensive ones. The right choice
We often buy drills and bits for a screwdriver based only on price. Some people save money, while others prefer to pay more for a premium brand.
Today I will test three representatives of household, budget, and premium equipment. I will take three "Phillips" bits, Forstner drills, and metal drills - and compare them in action.
I will test all the equipment with the same screwdriver with 18-volt batteries and a powerful brushless motor.
First, I will check how carefully and accurately the bits are made. To do this, I will see if they can hold a regular screw. Then, I will check the quality of the metal, I will see if I can "lick" the bit off the screw head in half a minute.
At the second stage, I will test Forstner drills. I will time it and try to make 5 holes in a wooden beam.
The decisive round will be drilling the metal corner. Here, drills with a diameter of 6.5 millimeters will come into play.
