DaVinci Resolve 21.0b4 Update - Full Breakdown
Blackmagic Design has released DaVinci Resolve 21.0b4 (Public Beta 4). This update introduces new features, improved photo-editing workflows, and a long list of stability fixes and bug resolutions across the Color, Edit, and Fusion pages.
⚠️ Important Note: While project libraries are compatible with v20.3.2, individual projects saved in v21.0b4 cannot be opened in v20.3.2. Always back up your project libraries and individual projects before upgrading.
Key New Features:
Color Management: Added support for Insta360 I-Log gamma.
AI Improvements: Enhanced visual quality for AI CineFocus.
Photo Workflow:
New Media Pool indicator for photo usage in albums.
Support for paste/remove attributes for photos.
Improved live previews and more consistent data burn behavior for photos.
Editing:
Ability to toggle retime frame inputs between frame and timecode.
Support for Final Cut Pro 12 FCPXML import/export.
Improved multicam creation (honors audio enable state).

AI/FX: Fixed AI Blemish Removal (applied outside the face/shimmering issues) and addressed Magic Mask rendering issues for clips with handles.
