It finally started raining today, the day I upload this video.
I feel relieved that the long, long drought seems to finally be coming to an end.
It is worrying when it rains too much, but it is also hard on the heart when it doesn't rain at all like this.
I used to be a little scared of the plants growing so fast whenever it rained,
but this time, seeing them drying up because there was so little rain made my heart ache for no reason.
With only one body, I couldn't take care of all the plants,
and the past time was filled with only feelings of guilt.
Still, my parents came home this week for the first time in a while since their surgery.
I prepared some nourishing food for them to enjoy,
and spending time with them was truly wonderful.
Because the drought dragged on this year, carrot planting was delayed significantly,
and I also planted some scallions, thinking about the kimchi we will eat for Chuseok.
I hope the carrot and scallion sprouts come up well with this rain. 🌱
Although the heat still lingers, I think I need to start preparing for autumn farming before it's too late. I hope it rains well enough so that the autumn cabbages and radishes grow abundantly.
