Measuring the Output Noise of a DC Power Supply
http://www.keysight.com/find/n6700 Learn how output noise is measured on a DC power supply. Output noise is specified between 20 Hz and 20 MHz. A differential amplifier is used to reject common noise noise leaving just the normal mode noise from the power supply. A wide band AC multimeter is used to measure the rms voltage between 20 Hz and 20 MHz. An oscilloscope can be used to measure the peak to peak noise.
