Excavations of a Soviet dugout were conducted in early December. During the dig, a medallion was found at the bottom. After reading it, the identity of the soldier who lost it in November-December 1941 was established. He turned out to be militiaman Viktor Stepanovich Lashin, born in 1923, a native of the village of Myshkino, Mozhaisk District, Moscow Region. At the young age of 17, he volunteered for the front. He served throughout the war and returned home to his native village. In 2013, Viktor Stepanovich received congratulations in honor of his 90th birthday!
