DETAILS:
Derived from two Latin words, Sol (sun) and sistere (to stand still), the word actually means “sun standing still”. A solstice occurs twice each year, when the movement of the sun’s path (as seen from Earth) comes to a stop before it reverses direction.
The solstice is a great opportunity to live in a point of interconnectedness with nature. In this vinyasa practice, you will learn how to:
Harness warmth and energy from within, focusing on heart and shoulder openers to fuel yourself.
Use this time to revel in the beauty of your own practice, to give yourself love and gratitude, and if it’s comfortable, radiate that warmth outward.
